The MetaworX Application Framework is an application framework for building quickly business systems. It consists of multiple smaller, subordinate frameworks: A framework for defining self-describing business objects based on metadata, automatically managed 1:1, n:1, 1:n and m:n relationships, a database independent persistence layer, an object-based query mechanism, automatic multi-language support, a generic GUI framework based on Swing, a generic WebUI based on Tapestry. Support for defining free attributes, whose type can be defined at runtime, database storable queries, a Jini Network Technology based distribution mechanism, and a lot more.
